  1. I'd like an osc command that can target a clip by name across the whole grid, not limited to the currently selected Layer. Perhaps it should be limited to a Dashboard?

Something like /millumin/board/startMedia ["Movie.mov"] to start media named "Movie.mov" within a specific board

  4. Pressing enter key should exit the Column info pop-up and exit naming box of a segment.

Often times I think it does and keep renaming the segment with multiple spaces as I try to play the timeline.

  5. It would be great to have an hours field on the timeline setup page rather than having to convert hours to minutes to get a long timeline. Particularly when I am chasing timecode and need to start at 18 hours in.

Could the milliseconds field also be converted to frames?

  7. The "Collect Files" option is a really helpful tool to set up a backup machine quickly. But as soon as you make a tiny change like transition time, reorder files, add an effect, etc., the backup machine is no longer up to date. It would be great if a backup machine would constantly update itself via network, to always have two identical machines...

  8. The delete key should not delete an entire layer track, it should delete the most recent selection, be it a clip inside a track or a piece of content in the library, or a keyframe on a timeline (possibly also control mapping).

Millumin is amazing and in general intuitive and easy to use, but I have found one major element that sticks out as being a continual source of confusion. When I hit the delete key it always deletes the currently active track layer. I see no reason that this would ever be someones intent.

  9. To have the time remaining on a video playback available to put on a separate output later.
I often give the Showcaller a monitor with a multiviewer showing all vt inputs and camera inputs from a switcher like the blackmagic atem studio HD. I would like to have a separate output from the Mac to only show the time remaining on a video so the operator does not have to count down each video.

  10. its helpful to be able to rearrange canvas position in the preview UI; for example when doing 2 canvases of 3 projector blend each , it will be easier to see the content if the long canvases can placed on top of each other rather than side to side

  11. In the workspace, it would be great to arrange the position of individual canvases.

For example, I have a very wide Canvas 1 and Canvas 2 is by default placed next to it which means that I have to zoom out a long way to see both.
If I add third and fourth canvases it starts getting very difficult.
If I could arrange the additional canvases under the first it would make working on these projects much easier.

  14. I'm using data tracks to control Qlab and open and close the shutter on our Panasonic projectors. Although I have successfully used Millumin once to use Art Net sends to the projectors every other time it seems to blast multiple commands and ends up turning off the projectors instead. I now have a simple 3 cue Qlab session that 'just works' so am leaving that open in the background and sending midi from Millumin.
To help problem solve though it would be good to be able to enable/disable data tracks on the dashboard so you don't have to delete (and…

  16. As we can send some control via Osc out of Millumin (opacity, scale...) with the "API Feedback" option, it could be a great idea to send osc message with other parameters (Isf generator, effect...) with custom adress.

  18. split segment button should (in my opinion ! :) ) have the segment after the red playhead highlighted, rather than the one before.
This would make segmenting a long clip much easier as you can just move the red cursor to the next point to split, rather than having to reselect the next segment. Also be really nice for it to remember whatever mode of the segment that has been split- if i split a play once segment then the second half resets itsself to loop and this then has to be changed

  19. I'd like to use remaining time to trigger an action. I'd like to launch an audio file that announces "1 minute" when there's 1 minute remaining, then "30 seconds", "20 seconds" and then a 10 second countdown, "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, etc..."

Ideally, I'd like to even be able to tap into the timecode over OSC so I can have another app (Octopus) trigger these actions.

  20. On each board column add ability to recall or ignore parameters for a given layer. This behavior would emulate the ability to make presets "absolute" or "relative". Where absolute means that all parameters stored when the preset was written are recalled for all layers. "relative" meaning that only layers affected in that preset are recalled.

    Desired Functionality:
Ability to insert a command object, much like adding new media, to a layer for a given cue (column position). On a given cue, for layers that we want "cleared", we just don't put media. However, for layers we want to display media,…
