Copy and paste, select and drag, a column or group of columns
In simple form duplicate a column.
Nicer would be:
Pick a bunch of columns, copy them and paste them elsewhere in the timeline or drag them to a new location. Excel does this in a way people are used to.
Sequences that are built over several columns can be reused without having to be rebuilt.

Duplicate column (3 votes)
I bet you are already working on this in the "New timelines" work in progress.
Column can be rearranged by drag-and-drop in latest beta (so outside the “official” channel, but it will be soon).
It is also possible to duplicate a column (click the “gear” icon while editing the board).

Well I'm wondering what would be wrong with the Apple paradigm of click & drag to defign the columns to be copied, moved or cut... and then we know the rest. It could work like all the Apple software.

Of course all the media on all of the layers of the columns getting copied and all of those settings get copied in one step.
